SUBJECT:  Student Graduate Exhibition

Hello Judith,

I found your site on the web while I was making a search to see what was happening in the WA artscene and was quite impressed. One clearly sees your passion for art and it's quite comendable that you've made the effort to make such a high level site. One suggestion would be to add a photo gallery to accompany the reviews, however, I realise how much additional work you would have to do and it's not as if you are being paid to do this!
One criticism I have is your review of the grad student exhibition at Edith Cowen Uni. Yes, I cringe when I imagine the level of the work that was shown by these poor students but I think you could have directed even more negative remarks towards the institution itself and less towards the
unfortunate students. Remember that these are very young artists and I am sure many of them are ernest and serious about their work so you could
perhaps try to be a little more supportive of their situation. You could have done without your last remark, "As for all other participants in this
exhibition, here's wishing you good luck. " It was said as if there is absolutely no hope for them, and quite possibly there isn't but they would
have got the idea of what you thought of their work if you'd said nothing at all. They instead need encouragement as I'm sure some of them are victims of a crappy art school. It's the lecturerers and head of department at the institution that you should make an effort to deride as this really could eventually make a difference in the quality of young WA art.
Thanks for your site,

Regards,
Jebila
