Kevin, -
I did expect something more than the comment in artseen.
You certainly beg a question here.
My question of you is why does my "past" make me more unable to address
the conceptual for example than other designer-makers in the exhibition?
I think my review did indeed address the conceptual, certainly at the level of
individual pieces. I was simply not  satisfied with the way the whole show
hung together conceptually, - except, as I suggested, in a very personal
reading of its' location in the wider context of the John Curtin Gallery.
Perhaps the traces of water and links between objects were just too
tenuous, or perhaps it was a problem caused by the nature of the space
available.
Perhaps I was peeved that you had neglected to invite an Aboriginal artist
to explore this thematic also.
I have every intention to peruse the catalogue in order to garner more of the
creative and curatorial processes employed, and I certainly would have liked
to attend the session at which the artists presented their views.
I think the program of lectures and events around the core exhibition is enticing
and the web-site, as is usual with your curatorial practice, excellent.
Jennifer.
